Hi, I have a Dell XPS M1530 with a Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 @ 1.5GHz with 65nm threading and a voltage range of 1.075V-1.250V. I would like to install an Intel Core 2 Duo X9100 @ 3.06 GHz with a voltage range of 1.05-1.2625V. The specs all look to be the same (including the socket) except the wattage, 35w vs 44w. would the X9100 be compatable in my laptop? Thank you for your help !

The compatibility between the processors and the laptop systems is determined by the laptop manufacturer, so in this case only the laptop manufacturer can tell you what processors will work on their laptops.
Please contact them so they can assist you.

The laptop has Intel PM965 Express Chipset, and it doesn't support 1066 MHz FSB. You should be able to upgrade to T8xxx / T9xxx processors with 800 MHz FSB, though. The performance improvement will noticable, compared to your 1.5 GHz T5250.
