Question on T9600 processor

Getting a T9600 processor and was looking at memory for it. I am not sure if a DDR3 listed below is compatible or do i nedd to stick with a DDR2 which i will list below that only compatible.

Hi,

You need to look at th emotherboard tro see if the memory is compatible.

Dont have the motherboard info yet. emailed dell for it but who knows how long that will take. Trying to get info on max for chipset. I know DDR3 is out that has 1600 speed like the cpu but cant the dual core process it. DDR2 is standard but trying to get ready for next step and max out on ram.

Ah, ok, i think i understand..then it doesn't matter with this CPU which memory you use as such. If it was an i7 then maybe coz that has the memory controller in the CPU. If you want to be more future proof then get ddr3.

Thats the issue with ddr3! Do you have the CPU already?
