I have a PC I still use and it has a with Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T7400 Processor but only 4GB RAM, I would like to upgrade the RAM from 4GB to 8GB or even 16GB if possible.
I'm running 64bit OS (Windows 10) and can add more info if required.

Your [OLD] processor does not have a memory controller.
So, you need to work with the system/motherboard manufacturer to answer your questions.
