Hi
I am wanting to upgrade my RAM. I currently have DDR4 3200 16GB but i wanna upgrade to 32GB of RAM. I have a intel core i5-12400F processor, and to my understanding due to what i read online, the maximum RAM speed it can take is 3200Mhz.
So my question is if i should get DDR4 3200 32GB RAM or if its possible to get RAM with higher speed.
Because i read something about XMP, and from what i read it seemed like if XMP was enabled, i would be able to run higher RAM speed than what it says on the intel website about the i5-12400F. Then if possible how high?

XMP is a BIOS setting, the speeds that XMP will enable will depend on the motherboard and CPU concerned. The manual for the motherboard should list the range of speeds available when XMP is enabled. In addition some board manufacturers publish a memory support list of modules that have been verified to work with the CPU. See graphic below for an extract from the memory support page for an ASUS motherboard
