I have a labtop with this CPU:

Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T5670

(2M Cache, 1.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=35163

and i would change to this CPU:

Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P8400

(3M Cache, 2.26 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB) http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=35569

Can I do? the new CPU works without problems or it may have different voltages and burnt ends

I think they require a different socket. Google CPU World and check there .

Well the CPU that you want use has less watts then the one you have now . the other question is will your mother board work on the 1066 FSB , That is the next thing you have to know .
