While trying to setup a RAID1 with Intel RST i get the above mentioned Error:

An unknown error occurred while an operation was in progress. The operation could not be completed.

After clicking OK on the error message, there's another message box "Volume Creation Complete - The Volume was created successfully." but it does not create a Volume.

I was running the system initially on two 1Gb HDD's with RAID 1.

after one drive failed i exchanged it with a 2TB HDD giving me a 1 TB Raid 1

Now i tried to upgrade the raid to a 2TB System following Artikel-ID 000005837

Hi GErrit1,

Please provide the following information for us to further investigate this.

1) To better understand your system's configuration, we kindly request that you download the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software.

You can find the download link here:

Intel® System Support Utility for Windows*

○ Here's a quick guide on using the Intel SSU:

  • 1. Download and launch SSU.exe.
  • 2. Check the box for "Everything."
  • 3. Click "Scan."
  • 4. When the scanning is complete, click "Next."
  • 5. Click "Save."
  • 6. Please send the saved file to us.

2) Does the RAID 1 array include Windows or Windows is installed on a separate drive?

3) Is this computer a prebuilt one or a custom PC? If prebuilt (like Dell OptiPlex, etc), can we get the exact model number of the PC itself?

4) Where did you get the error message 0xA0050053? Can we get a screenshot of that error message?

5) What is the status of your RAID 1 array in "Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management" software?

6) You mentioned that you've followed Article - https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005837.html did you encounter the error when you followed this?

This information will greatly assist us in diagnosing and addressing the specific concerns with your system. If you encounter any challenges during this process or have additional questions, please don't hesitate to let us know. We're here to help.
