Hey guys. just a few days ago, I updated my "Intel(R) C220 series chipset SATA AHCI Controller" driver and since then my RST service is not running.

I tried to download and update the latest version of RST through this page:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26865/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-?product=55005 Download Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST)

but neither RST nor Optane work for me, it just says "This platform is not supported" and I can't install anything.

what should I do?

I7 4790K

1TB HDD Seagate

8GB RAM

ASUS B85 PLUS

any help will be appreciated.

Hello edder00,

Thank you for contacting the Intel community.

In this case, please bear in mind that your processor and motherboard does not support the Intel® Optane Memory, this supported on 7th generation processor, you can check the OEM motherboards that support the Intel® Optaine Memory here:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/optane-memory-ready-boards-where-to-buy.html https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/optane-memory-ready-boards-where-to-buy.html

For your motherboard you will need an older version for the IRST, you should be able to download it the ASUS website, you can check here:

Hi,

I have this problem but don't want to buy another motherboard. Is there a way to uninstall this version and go back to a compatible one? I'm very scared to try things. I truly don't know what to do and am afraid of damaging my laptop. I have Windows 10. My laptop is a refurbished DELL (Vostro). It came with Intel CORE i7.

Does this issue affect the audio especially Bluetooth devices. I may have made it worse. My ports seem to be messed up.

Hope you can help. I can take screen shots jut let me know where from.

Regards,

Neenie

Hello Neenie,

Thank you for joining the thread.

In order to assist you better with the specific problem you are having in your computer I recommend creating a new thread. Please attach to your thread the .txt file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

To attach a file, you must click "Use Advanced Editor" on the upper right hand corner of the response box, then the "attach" option will appear on the bottom right hand corner of the response box.

Regards,
