Greetings,

My old motherboard die. I have a back up but it is a month old. Not the end of the world.

Is it possible to move my three drive raid 5 on a ICH10R chipset to a new motherboard with the RST? Without data loss?

Thanks for looking.

Jim

Yes you can move any RAID from one chipset to a new chipset thats in the same line type of chipsets which the PCH allows for ICHxxR.

If this is the OS boot RAID the RAID may not boot on a different motherboard but the data on the RAID will be fine.

Thanks for the quick response. This is just a storage raid.

I think I'm going to go with the Intel BOXDH67BLB3. My old board was an ASUS PQ5 that had the ICH10r chipset.

Cheers as you say!
