I have tried uninstall and reinstall exactly as said on Intels site regarding trouble with installing but no difference.
I use latest update of Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. Version
1809 OS Build 10.0.17763
The installation seems to go fine but can't launch the program.
I can see the IDSA icon at my computers Task bar but this only helps me open the settings dialogue window. No shortcut on Desktop.

- That is exactly what should be. Now you installed the Intel DSA installed correctly. You may found it now in the Start Menu under "Intel". Probably also the icon should be visible in Taskbar in the hidden icon place (if not disabled in your computer startup).
- When you dispatch DSA, a Internet Browser page is opened in the DSA link (rather that Intel Download Center) https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html and this application runs to scan your system (see the attached image for example)
- After scan completion, you may see if there are newer driver versions and if you want, you may download and update them.
- The DSA should be used for Intel motherboard based computer or for Intel mini Computers (NUCs) . My advice is not to use for board manufactured by other companies or for laptops. Always better in this case to download drivers from the manufacturer site.

Thanks for Your answer, sorry I wasn't 100% clear, I've already uninstalled with latest uninstaller that exactly like You said.
Although I tried to do it again now and same thing. But now after installing when promted to launch I was directed to the Intel download web page and being presented with my system in details. Perhaps I've missed something, what kind of application is this, is it some invisible program that I never really could start and control? A program that just direct me to Intels site presenting my system?
