3D Model Reconstruction to Memory

Hello,

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a 3D scan to reconstruct to memory rather than to a file? I want to save the model as a bitstream in a database, ideally without having to save a temporary file first.

Thanks!

James, let me talk with my colleague if it is feasible or any workaround. Thanks!

Thanks David, I have worked around it for now by saving a temporary file & reading it back, but I'm not sure we could guarantee that we'll always have write access in the wild so it will be a very useful feature for future implementation.

Great to know you have found workaround. We have plan to add this feature in our future RealSense SDK release. Thanks!

I don't think they have - I haven't seen it in any of the release documents for the last couple of SDK releases. I've been concentrating on other stuff though so maybe they snuck it in.
