API docs on Laptop

When I installed CVF on my laptop, I chose the option for all docs to be saved on the hard drive, which all of the CVF specific docs are. But I'd like to have the API docs, too. Can I just copy all of the contents of the ..INFODFDOC directory on the 6.5 CD to my own ..DF98DOC directory? Will it search there before going to the CD?

It won't automatically search the hard disk. What I suggest is this. Copy the files from the CD, as you planned, then run the 6.5A update from our web site. This will refresh the "collection" to point at the now-local copies of the manuals.
