Comprehensive source for CPUID info

I'd like to know where I can find a comprehensive list of CPUID signatures for Intel processors, hopefully including the brand strings.App note 485 is the only Intel source I'm aware of and seems to be very poorly maintained, requiring developers to spend their time reading through each of the hardware specification updates to find out simple things like what signatures each processor returns.

Am I missing something here? Where do I find this info?

Hello,

You might check the IA-32 manuals.http://developer.intel.com/design/Pentium4/documentation.htm

I believe theres info like this in one of them.

It looks like Vol. 3A: System Programming Guide part 1 has the most info: http://developer.intel.com/design/Pentium4/manuals/253668.htm

Hi Jim and Lexi,

Both of the source you mentioned have no CPU signatures and refer to App Note 485 as the authoritative source. Yet that app note was last updated January 2006 and even then is hopelessly incomplete. What's going on?

I could be missing something in the other manuals, so where do YOU see the cpu signatures listed in any of them?
