Core 2 Duo with a dedicated GPU or Intel i5 with GMA?

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I am looking at 2 laptops for web browsing, spreadsheets and some 3D CAD Programs (Google Sketchup). I am stuck between 2 choices and I am getting conflicting opinions.

Option 1: Acer Aspire AS5739G-6959 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T6600(2.20GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 320GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GT 130M

Option 2: Acer AS5740-6378 Intel Core i5 430M (2.26 GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 320GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD

So should I go with the slower older Core 2 Duo with the Nice dedicated GPU or the faster, newer i5 with an IGP? I have heard that the i5 has some sort of on-board 3d capabilities, but IGPs make me nervous. My desktop has an Intel dual core and could not handle the 3D CAD until I put an ATI Radeon HD 3850 in and the difference is night and day. Some of the people that I have asked seem to think that regardless of the GPU I would still be better off with an i5.

I have also heard that the i3/i5 has something called VTx but I am not sure what that is or if that is helpful for my particular needs

I am stuck. Any thoughts?
