Hi,
I am working on core-isolation for 64-bit-x86 target by running linux-4.9 kernel. I am able to achieve 100% cpu-1 idle using "cset shield -k on -f -c 1" but when I check "cat /proc/interrupt" status, observed that all interrupts increment got stopped except "Local timer interrupts" and "Function call interrupts" on cpu-1.
Is that expected that both "Local timer interrupts" and "Function call interrupts" is not getting stop in full tickless kernel when cpu-1 in core isolation ? if yes than why ? and if it is possible to stop these interrupts on x86 than please let me know what changes we need ?
Any pointer is highly appreciated.
TIA !!
Regards,

Evidently, the question doesn't pertain to Intel Xeon phi. Perhaps you could rephrase or present an example and make it topical for another forum.
