Excel/vda to Forran DLL: Character Arrays?

Years ago your newsletter set me up for Fortan DLL for linking to VBA/Excel (usually numerical arguments) You demonstrated how to pass a character string and said "we are working on how to pass a character array".

Q1: have you advice on passing character arrays

Q2: are there advantages in moving to ActiveX DLLs?

CVF 6.5 includes a MIXLANGVBARRAYS sample that demonstrates this.
