I downloaded and installed a VTune Evaluation License on Windows XP. Now I have purchased a single user license and can not find a way to enter the license key without uninstalling the product and then installing again. It this correct or is there a way to enter the license key without removing / re-installing?

Greetings,
Please register the serial number at Intel Registration Center. You will be provided with a license file and instruction to download and install the product. For Intel VTune Performance Analyzer the only option is to reinstall.
This is not true for the Compilers. For the Intel Compilers, replacing the license file will be sufficient.
Thank You

I actually tried to replace the evaluation license file with the commercial license file and Vtune stopped complaining about being an Evaluation copy and works fine.
Regards,
Oli

Hi Oli,
I am sorry, what you said is correct.
The evaluation version of the analyzer contains all of the features of the commercial version, except you do not have the ability to open existing projects, save projects, or the ability to create or unpack a Pack and Go file.
You do not need to re-install the product when you convert from the evaluation version to the commercial version.
Thank you
Shamla
