How to change the transition speed of Side Menu or completely remove it

Is it possible to change the transition speed of side menu or remove it. It lags in older devices.

You can set: $.ui.transitionTime which is used by $.ui.toggleLeftSideMenu. $.ui.toggleRightSideMenu takes the transition time as a third parameter.
