How to get MDK?

Newbie just getting started.

I'm trying to get the MDK from the FAQ on this page: <https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-mobile-development-kit-for-android>

Step 4 says "Download Intel® System Studio.  This toolset helps you analyze your Android apps from Java to assembly code and CPU States."

That link gets me to an error page saying to contact support.

Step 5 tells me to come to this forum.

FWIW, I did do steps 1 through 3 - and I'm anxious to get started!

Hi Gary,

You can try the 30 days evaluation version of Intel system studio 2014 from https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-system-studio. You can also register as the Beta user for Intel system studio 2015 Try Intel System Studio 2015 Beta.

For the Downloadlink error , I will follow up and let you know.

Thanks.

Me again...

It looks like 'Intel® System Studio' is different from 'Intel® Mobile Development Kit for Android*'

The tutorial I'm looking at seems to be for 'Intel® Mobile Development Kit for Android*'

The web site above is fixed - it points to what is says it does, but not to what's needed.

How can I get a copy of 'Intel® Mobile Development Kit for Android*'?

Please see this page https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-mobile-development-kit-for-android#pid-24604-2130. You have to be on the FAQ tab of the middle section and drop down the "How can I get the Intel(R) Mobile Development Kit for Android?

It is only for the Dell Venue 8 tablet and is available from Dell. It then also uses Intel* System Studio.

I bought a Dell Venue 8 last week just to use the Intel MDK mentioned on the link you provided.  (That web page is what prompted my first post.)

The page states both "New" and "Experiment with non-commercial FREE tools".  The System Studio is some $1650 - far from free, and it doesn't seem to match what is referenced in the tutorials.

I'm just a 'starving student' trying to learn OpenCL, and I thought that this would be a low-cost way of doing that.

Gary.

There is a free trial option on System Studio  https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-system-studio-evaluation-options. And the software at opensource.dell.com/releases/Venue_8_xxx_(processor) /developer-edition is free.   Once the trial period is over, check to see what's available on the Non Commercial Development licensing site.
