Hello,
I have the Parallel Inspector Update1 installed on my system (Visual Studio 2008 SP1, Windows 7 x64 RTM). It works when I inspect "Memory errors", but not when I inspect "Threading errors" with any level.It fails withany project, including the samples such as Banner or NQueens, and whenever I use MSVC orthe Composer to compile. I compile for IA-32.
Just after clicking "Run Analysis" button, the application starts and immediately exits. After that, the IDE seems to be hung for a few seconds, and then nothing else happens.
Under "My Inspector Results" folder, I've found two files which may help, insp-runtc.log and insp-runtc.txt, which I pasted below. Any ideas what is causing this problem? Thanks!
insp-runtc.txt:
=== Start: [2009/09/19 00:56:04] ===
Threading error analysis: started
Result file:
Error: An internal error has occurred. Our apologies for this inconvenience. Please send D:\Intel\Download\Inspector_update1_setup\1033\WelcomePage\Samples\en_US\NQueens-ParallelStudio\Step2-3-Parallel-Check\My Inspector Results\r000ti3\data.0\insp-runtc.log file to parallel.studio.support@intel.com. The report files may be used to help improve stability of this tool. Thank you for your assistance in helping us improve the quality of our product.
Result file:
Threading error analysis: terminated
=== End: [2009/09/19 00:56:04] ===

Hello Ricardo,
Thanks for letting us know about the problem. Unfortunately, Windows 7 is not supported by Intel ParallelInspector yet. Although, some of the toolsmay work without any problem, there might be cases like that you described. It's recommended touse OS from the supported list.Sorry for inconveniences.
