Hello, I have Visual Studio 2008 Express Edition, and I tried to install Intel Parallel Studio, and it says
"Intel Parallel Studio installation will end
Microsoft Visual Studio* software is not installed on this system.
Installation will end because this product must integrate with Microsoft Visual Studio* 2005 or 2008 software.
Suggestion: Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 or 2008 software on this system, or install this product on a compliant system."
Why might this be? Thanks.

The reasons are:
1) Intel Parallel Composer 2011 relies on Visual Studio* components to build applications
2) Intel Parallel Amplifier 2011 and Intel Parallel Inspector 2011don't have standalone GUI applications, all results should be displayed on Visual Studio* IDE
Regards, Peter

Dear customer,
Please see the System Requirements section in the release notes of Intel Parallel Studio 2011.VS 2005, 2008 or 2010 Standard Edition (or higher edition) is required, in order to install IPS 2011. If you can't find the release notes in your computer, you may download it in https://registrationcenter.intel.com. Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Feilong
