Hello.
Some years ago I bought the Composer XE 2011 for Linux. My hard disk broke down a couple of months ago and I am now trying to re-install the compiler on a new machine. I downloaded l_ccompxe_2011.5.220.tgz, unpacked into a subdirectory of /tmp and started install.sh. Since I have only a single-user license, I chose to install into my home directory, accepted the license terms and chose "I want to activate my product using a serial number". Entering my serial number yields the error message "The serial number you provided is not valid for this product."
What's wrong? The registration center appears to think that I am licensed for this version of the software package.
By the way: The new computer is running SLES 11 SP 2, "uname -a" yields
Linux hydra 3.0.80-0.7-default #1 SMP Tue Jun 25 18:32:49 UTC 2013 (25740f8) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Best regards,
Steffen

Maybe serial number is outdated or corrupted.
Btw try to install your original product which you bought a few years ago.

I've transferred your posting to the right forum to get better answers.
Please do not post your serial number to the forum. You can use "send Author a message" if necessary.
