Installation problems

Hi,

I've bought the Intel C++ compiler, registred on the registration site and downloaded. When I run the download it unpacks and starts the installer.

When I am asked for my serial number I enter the same number I registred on the registration site. It tells me that "Activation rights do not allow this software to be installed. This could be due to expired subscription or incompatible serial number." (I check my account, the subsription is not expired).

Instead I go try with the license file I had in my email. Result: "The license file provided is invalid".

Remote activation: I enter the codes and I get a number. But when I enter that number into my installation, all I get is "The response entered is incorrect".

What am I doing wrong?

Edit: There are two numbers in my subscription. I use the one starting with "C". The other doesn't work either ;)

Hi Nicolai,

I have resent you the license file. Please, don't open it using file editors - it can be overwritten in the incorrect format. Justuse this file during the installationand let me know the result.

Igor

I'm afraid it made absolutely no difference.

Looks really odd. The package is correct andyour license should work with it.
Never seen this issue reported by other customers. I have cleared the registration infofor this license,
so, it is now not registrered again. Could you please register it again and try to install the compiler one more time?

Run the installation with the admins privileges.

It did not make any difference. I registred with our other license (which is my collegue's) by accident, but I guess that won't matter...

I run with admin privileges (on Windows XP).

What else is required?

Hi @all,

I've got the same problem with the new

My licence worked perfectly for all previous compilers (C++ and Fortran) including the 11.1.067 mentioned in this thread. It should be valid till September 2011.

The new Fortran Compiler as well as VTune install without any problems.

But the C++ Composer refuses the licence file to be invalid.

Any idea?

Best regards

Andreas
