I need support old software for 8087 math coprocessor.
I can not found any information about FSTSW/FNSTSW and FSTCW/FNSTCW FPU instruction memory operand synchronization if it is necessary to use FWAIT after this instructions or not on 8087.
I know on 287 and above it is not necessary.

We are unsure whether we will be able to locate a resource to answer this question due to the age of the hardware in question, but we will try.
General information about FSTCW/FNSTCW is in the IA-32 Intel Architecture Software Developers Manual vol. 2: Instruction Set Reference, located at http://developer.intel.com/design/Pentium4/documentation.htm.

Our engineering team recommends that you try it both ways and go with the best result. We no longer maintain the old databooks for the Intel 8087 math coprocessor. Good luck!
