Intel 945GM graphics on Toshiba A100 can't get 1680x1050

Hi there,
I know many people have this similar problem, but I have read through too many pages and I can't seem to solve this problem. I have an LG L222WT monitor, and my laptop is an A100-0FH. I tried installing the latest driver, and tried installing Intel's 1680 driver, but nothing works. I run moninfo, it doesn't show me anything about this monitor.

What do I do? Please help.
