I tested a beta copy and it appeared to fix the problem. Sometimes it takes a few weeks to get past the Apple update process, which is outside of our control. I do not know what the expected date into the store is, but I would expect it in days or weeks.

What error message do you get? Try to kill the App Preview app and relaunch. Also, push the project from test tab one more time. Does scanning of the barcode work for you?

There is an issue with launching a new app. I've reported the issue.
If you are launching new app the App Preview is not able to pull it in the first attempt, so as I mentioned earlier kill the App Preview app and relaunch.

I've tried your solution and still not working the launch button.
The app don't give me any error, just I tap on launch button and the app don't launch my app simulation.
Thanks.

Try logging out and then log back in to the App Preview. That should refresh the app.

I am having the sale issue on my iPhone 4 (iOS 7.1.2). I've logged out and back in, I've killed the app and re-launched; I even did a clean install of the OS; none of these have worked. The Demo Apps (form the demo apps tab) and those work but any of my apps form the "server apps" tab get to the screen with the giant "play" button (blue circle with a white triangle facing right) and then just stop there (pushing the button has no effect though I can always go back to the app list or switch tabs. It never even gets to the Intel splash screen.
I've tried creating new apps and trying those but i get the same result.
Has intel tried our the XDK on an iPhone 4 with iOS 7.1.2?
Any idea how to get this working?

Can you try removing the App Preview altogether from your phone and then install it again? You said the demo apps work so looks like some apps are working. Maybe it's a problem with the app. Can you send me one of your app so I can test it?
Thanks,

I have installed the Intel App Preview twice (once with each of the versions of iOS i have had on this device (latest is 7.1.2)). I just tried deleting it again and re-installing; same result.
I doubt it's the apps I'm building as some of them are literally just a blank project (repro: go into the XDK, great a new project from a blank HTML5 template > upload to the test servers > and I can't click on it. The issue seems to manifest in the inability to click the button. I get the same button on the demo apps but I can click it and then the intel splash screen comes up, followed by the app. For the page with user defined apps, I can select one of my apps but then pushing the button does nothing. Other buttons on the page (back, and the tabs as the bottom) all work as expect.
I also notice that if I take a sample app in the XDK (I chose the 2048 app) it will also not launch. It seems that anything on the "Server Apps" tab will get to the page where you can launch with the big "play" button but you can't push that button to initiate the app.
I would try using the camera to scan the bar code but it appears that it is unable to focus. (there are other threads on that issue so I don't want to complicate it here; just mentioning it so that we don't have to go try that path).
Are you able to launch your projects from the XDK (build: 1912) to a iPhone 4?

Yes, I just confirmed I'm having the same problem (plus a few others) with App Preview 2.3.0 on an iPod running iOS 6.1.6, which should work. I'll file a bug report. I was just running with App Preview 2.2.0 with no problems on this device.

How Adam G. said, install/unistall App Preview and login/logout isn't working.
I've tried use new templates from Intel XDK, upload to Server Apps and the result is the same: Big play button don't launch the app.
Thanks.

The same problem in my iPhone 3S with iOS 6.1.6.
No error, just not open the APP. The tap is dead...
I uninstall, reinstall, etc. and nothing.
I tried to with QR Code. It works, but the APP does not open.

It look like Paul (with the Intel account) has filed a bug on this. There will need to be a new version of the client app I would assume so we're waiting for that. Once they publish an update (and I hope Paul will let us know but those of us with iPhone 4's may also end up seeing it first when it's published) then we can reply to the thread about if this is fixed. As of this writing, this is still an unresolved issue.

I'm having exactly the same problem. The app launch button isn't functioning with version 2.3. Tried all the basic stuff like powering down my iphone and uninstalling/reinstalling the app. No luck.

A bug report has been filed. Engineering is looking into this problem. Please see prior comment:

When a fix is implemented a new version of App Preview will be pushed to the store and you should receive a notification directly from the store. Until then, I have no workaround available.

Suggestion - Please put a notice on the XDK platform (via Twitter postings?) for problems like this so that feature degradations are common knowledge and people don't have to search the internet to discover that they're having the same problem. Thank you.
I didn't realize how much i relied on this tool - BTW the android App Preview is working fine (using android 2.3 on my 2 year "old" device).
Great product guys, we really appreciate all the work you do!

Hi,
Any estimate on when the IOS fix will be released? Are we talking days, weeks or months?
