Hello,
I have convinced my company to purchase a licence for latest Windows C++ Studio, for building specific core parts of the product, even though our primary development platform is VC++.
I already have a valid licence for C++ compiler 10.1 & Vtune, bought in 2007. Our support period has expired, though I was able to freely upgrade the compiler to 11.0, before it became XE Composer.
Anyway, my question is, would we be eligible for the upgrade price for C++ studio? Th text on the sales site seems to say that any version of previous compiler is eligible for upgrade. But I don't know if it is requirement to have a continuing support agreement.
Please note that I am not interested in purchasing a support contract, if it can be avoided.
Thanks
Amit
