Hi there, 

I am writing a book on Android performance and tools used to measure performance, and I'd like the opportunity to look at the Intel performance tools., however, The MDK process fails - since Dell does not offer the Venue 8 on its website.

Can you please assist?

I still find the Dell Venue 8 on the website: http://www.dell.com/us/p/dell-venue-8/pd?oc=ftcwv801b . Does this link work for you?

An alternative (but also hard to get) is to buy a Minnowboard Max. You can find stores here: http://www.minnowboard.org/meet-minnowboard-max/ and an Android release for it here: https://01.org/android-ia/downloads . It's not (yet) officially supported in ISS but it should work with the analyzers. If you are interested in the Minnowboard Max I can test it briefly and provide you some more solid feedback on it.
