MPSS 3.5

Please note that the new MPSS 3.5 is just released at https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-manycore-platform-software-stack-mpss

This new version supports the following OS:

- Linux: RHEL* 6.4, 6.5, 6.6, 7.0 and 7.1 & SuSE SLES* 11 SP3 and SuSE 12.

- Microsoft Windows*: Windows* 7 Enterprise SP1, 8/8.1 Enterprise, Server 2008 R2 SP1, Server 2012 and Server 2012 R2.

Also, please note that MPSS 3.2.x is no longer supported.

The following tools version have been validated to work with the MPSS 3.5:

MPSS 3.5 for Linux*:

• Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition 2015 Update 2 (Intel compiler 15.0.2)

• MKL 11.2 and 11.3 Beta

• Intel® VTune™ Amplifier 2015 Update 2 and 2016 Beta

• Intel MPI 5.0 Update 3

MPSS 3.5 for Microsoft* Windows:

• Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition 2015 Update 2 (Intel compiler 15.0.2)

• MKL 11.2, 11.3 beta

• Intel® VTune™ Amplifier 2015 Update 2: there is a compatibility issue, see note below.

• Intel MPI 5.0 Update 3

NOTE: There is an incompatibility between the Intel® MPSS version 3.5 for Windows host and the Intel® Vtune™ Amplifier 2015. If use of this profiling capability is required, we recommend using an earlier version of the Intel® MPSS for Windows host until the issue is resolved – the fix is anticipated to be released in the Intel Vtune Amplifier 2015 in the mid May 2015 timeframe. We will update this note when precise release versions are available.
