Hi, I'm developing VR software and would like to show it off similar to these Fantastic Contraption videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRywAihJ2jM
They were made using a green screen in a room with a couch and the actors:

Could the R200 support a Background Segmentation use case that would replace the need for the big green covering?
Thanks,
Mike

Currently R200 did not support Background Segmentation. You need use F200 or SR300 now. Thanks!

Thanks David, so you think that the F200 or SR300 could support the same use case as the video?
Thanks,
Mike

That can be done with any of the RealSense cameras. You would just need some custom code.

According to R200 feature page, it says it did supported the Background Segmentation by subtitution. So, AFAIK, it can be used to remove green screen.
- Enhance your Photography. The Intel RealSense R200 includes 3D filters which allow re-lighting, re-focusing, and background segmentation (removal/substitution of the background).
