Nehalem architecture, but no Core i7 support for Amplifier XE2011?

Running VTune Amplifier XE2011 on Windows Server 2008 R2 on a workstation with two E5450 processors (quad core Xeon Nehalem based).

Core i7 analysis is disabled for these processors. Why? Can I expect support in a subsequent release?

Hello,

The Intel Xeon 5400 series, including the E5450, are based on the Intel Core2 architecture. Please use use the Core2 analysis types and events on this platform.

At least it's good news: more performance to be had for me :-)
