Offline Development

It seems to me that an online connection is required for development in Intel XDK, at the very least for compilation. Do I misunderstand? Admittedly, I'm perhaps a bit overly security-conscious, but I'd like to find clarity on this point. Thanks.

You have to be connected to the internet to preform builds (and other things like pushing code to the test server, downloading samples, receiving update notifications).

The build system for all platforms is in the cloud. So yes, you must be connected to build and once you do build, your code is then store in the cloud.

Thanks for your reply. XDK seems like a great solution for most purposes, even if I might not use it for sensitive projects.
