Parallel inspector: application starts and exits at level 1, not at level 2

Running parallel inspector on MS Visual Studio 2008, Windows XP 64. Checking a Windows MFC application.

At "level 1", the application starts up, display the main window, then just quits, but with no reports at all in the Inspector Window

At "level 2", everything works as expected, the application starts up and runs normally. Quitting the application, shows the expected memory leaks etc.
