There are Random ( Nor Reproducible / At least once in a week ) crashes of IE version 8 on Windows XP operating systems when loading IDZ web-page, for example:

http://software.intel.com/user/nnnnnn/track

where nnnnnn is an IDZ User ID.

Not worth looking into in my opinion.  XP is EOL with extended support ending in April of next year.  IE 8 may still have ~10% market share worldwide, but there are newer and better options regardless of what OS you run.  Google does not support IE8 in thier web services and I see no reason Intel should either.  Its an old non-compliant browser on an old OS, time to upgrade.

>>...an old OS, time to upgrade... Your opinion is very important. However, Windows XP and IE 8 are supported until March 2014 and so far Microsoft has Not marked these products with an End of Life ( EOL ) status and updates on Windows Updates website are available. So, let's Intel managers and developers decide what needs to be done and if there is a possible bug in IDZ web-application it needs to be fixed. If there is a bug it is still the bug. Period. By the way, ALL financial institutions in a country where I live still support Windows XP operating system and IE 8.

Hi Sergey,

Can you more precisely narrow down what might be happening/what you are doing at the time of the crash, that might help.

>>...Can you more precisely narrow down what might be happening/what you are doing at the time of the crash, that >>might help. Hi Hal, That is the most challenging thing because in July it happened just two times and during the 2nd crash I've made the screenshot attached to one of my previous posts. In overall, in both cases nothing special was done on my side and I simply selected a web-link http://software.intel.com/user/353909/track from IE v8.x Favorites menu item. Then, during loading a web content an error message box was displayed and I've selected a button Debug. Visual Studio was launched and I've looked at a Call Stack to see what is going on. I see that this is a JavaScript related however I could be wrong. Thanks for the follow up.
