Hello,

I'd like to use RealSense 3D Camera (R200) for outdoor applications. Could you let me know the range of R200 outdoors?

Thank you,

Soonahc

Outdoor usage is highly dependent on lighting. We are not currently publishing any spec.

I have tested the r200 outdoors. It does not work. No depth measured. Is there any mode of the r200 for ourdoor application?

I have not tested yet in outdoors but i read that, depending on the luminosity conditions, it can be up do 10 meters if the proper parameters to outdoor conditions are used.

Hey I have some info to help you regarding using the R200 outdoors, I disabled the Emitter and set gain to 1 (was at 4) and exposure to between 1 and 5ms (1ms worked best in very bright direct sunlight) and I got really nice depth images outside. You could set gain to 1 and then enable auto-exposure using device->SetDSLeftRightAutoExposure(true)
