RealSense Developer Kit Camera Availability

Hey guys,

I am currently a Third Year student at NED University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan. Though I'm aware the camera isn't being shipped to Pakistan, I do have a relative there in America who could help me with that.

We have our Final Year Projects coming up and have to submit our Ideas soon now. I know with the help of this kit and camera, my project would definitely stand out amongst what the other students would normally be developing. Hence, it is crucial for me to have an estimated dateline on when would the cameras be finally ready for order/shipment?

Looking forward to your response.

The creative senz3d is not supported by the Intel RealSense SDK.  See the release notes for details.

Jack

Jack Ketola is right. The SDK is only compatible with the New Developer kit.

I did email the support page to see what they have to say, and apparently they're still waiting for the target number of reservations to be achieved first. My only concern is that if I submit my idea to my faculty members and once it gets approved, I'll be bound to complete it with or without the 3D Camera .... and I know I can't finish without it.

Just out of curiosity, are there other alternatives available ?

Mohammed,

RealSense SDK only works with the new Intel RealSense Camera. As you can find it in the camera order page (http://click.intel.com/intelr-realsensetm-developer-kit.html), the camera will be shipped to all following countries.

"Camera available for shipment to addresses in the United States, Canada, European Union & European Free Trade Zone, Brazil, India, China, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, Russia, Israel, and Singapore."
