It is better and safe for you to use Unity 4.5 and earlier version. Thanks!

I would second David's advice, as I've had nothing but problems with the camera in 4.6. I'd already decided to go back to 4.5 before I saw this. Hopefully I will have better luck.
EDIT: Just tried the camera with Unity 4.5 and no difference on my particular system. Everything still crashes when run, even when just putting an Action script into a cube with no changes made to it. Guess I'll have to keep trying!

I have actually only used RealSense on Unity 4.6.x and 5 - I have not had issues with 4.6 - I've gotten too used to uGUI and tons of bug fixes in 4.6. 4.6 is now fully released, and 5 should be out of beta and fully released soon
The Intel RealSense LA Workshop a few weeks ago ran with lab computers with Unity 4.6 and we were assured by the Intel rep that the RealSense SDK should run fully (?) stable on 4.6... Is this not actually the case?

Hi Yosun,
I'm just reporting my own particular experiences. Everyone has different ones depending on how their machine's setup is behaving with the camera. Some people like yourself will have no problems.

I rarely say this of Unity, especially having been around long enough to see the wreckage of their last few major overhaul upgrades, but they really did the Unity 4.6 upgrade well - in the sense that even if you accidentally open up a project in 4.6 it still works in previous versions - or if you accidentally open your 4.6 in 4.2 or something, the project doesn't actually get mangled!
Which issues have you had with RealSense and Unity 4.6?
p.s. I usually have 5 different versions of Unity (5, 4.6, 4.5.5, 4.4.2, 3.5.7) installed due to fragmentation with different Android plugins.

Any time that any RealSense program is run, whether it be a sample program or Action script, it just crashes out on my machine. I spent days trying to find a workaround and concluded that whilst non-Unity samples will tolerate my older 3rd Generation CPU, Unity is absolutely insisting on the PC having the 4th Generation CPU that Intel strongly recommends. So I will probably end up missing the early submission phase of the contest and submit at the final deadline in February once I have done something about the CPU issue.

If you mean I have had crashes in both 4.5 and 4.6 Yosun, then yes. I can't speak for earlier versions (4 to 4.4) as I have not tried those with the camera but presume the result would be the same.

I wonder if you might have better luck with Unity 4.1 - much of the docs mention 4.1 pro (and iirc that was the version that I used last year with my 2012 Ivy Bridge retina macbook)?
