Regarding a particular Intel software

Hello all. I can't remember what it was called, but there was a piece of software that once downloaded to a computer running Intel hardware, would speed up the communication between devices such as memory, cpu motherboard etc. I can't seem to locate this software on the Intel site anymore.
Is anyone familiar with what I am asking about? Thanks in advance.
