Run-time error: M-31428

I am recieving a run-time error that looks like this...

RUN-TIME ERROR M-31428: MATH
-sqrt: error

what seems to be the problem? and what should I look for

Square root of a negative number, most likely.

That's not an error that we put out, as far as I know. The CVF math library error codes are of the form M6nnn. But the advice is likely to be the same.
