Check the documentation for the plugin that you are using for notifications.

Hi John.

Thanks, but I use PushPlugin (https://github.com/phonegap-build/PushPlugin) and always that I get Notifications on my device the sound is a beep defaut of Android... I try replace but my sound only play when I open the application.

This is not a question about the XDK, its a question about how the plugin is designed to work.
