Hello,
Im using two ToF cameras at the same time: A SoftKinetic DS325 and a Creative Senz3D. But looking at the same point I got many interferences with these cameras. Is there a possibility to control the frequency of the laser?
Either time multiplexing (turn on and off alternating) or to adjust the frequencies that they are equal.
Does anybody know what the frequency of the laser from the Senz3D is? Or another way to get rid of the interferences?
Thanks for your effort.
Kind Regards,
Nico

Hi Nico,
Are you referring to the current RealSense F200 camera, or the Senz3D camera from 2013? Assuming you're talking about the current F200 camera, the wavelength is on the order of 860nm and is locked. Even if you could slightly change the wavelength, you would still likely encounter interference between the cameras as they would both still be operating in the IR spectral region. The F200 uses coded light technology (i.e., carries information) which in some cases can be adversely affected by external IR sources.

You could set the IR emitter power to the minimum, which should be similar to turning it off, while you are using other sensors.

Im using the Senz3D camera from 2013.
Is setting the "IR emitter power to the minumum" possible on software side or just hardware (open the camera) ?
Thank you for your replies :)
