I purchased a license for Intel Software Development Suite Student Edition for Linux*. According to http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-academic-developer-program/ this is supposed to include:

Intel C++ Composer XE for Linux*
Intel Fortran Composer XE for Linux
Intel Inspector XE for Linux
Intel VTune Amplifier XE for Linux
Intel Integrated Performance Primitives for Linux
Intel Math Kernel Library for Linux
Intel Threading Building Blocks for Linux
Intel Cluster Toolkit for Linux
Intel MPI Library for Linux
Intel Trace Analyzer and Collector for Linux

When I try to install the download I was given these are the available components:

2. Intel Cluster Tools 2011 for Linux*
3. Intel MPI Library
4. Intel Trace Analyzer and Collector
5. Intel Math Kernel Library 10.3 for Linux*
(for applications running on IA-32)
6. Intel Math Kernel Library 10.3 for Linux*
(for applications running on Intel 64)
7. Intel MPI Benchmarks
8. Intel C++ Compiler XE version 12.0 for Linux*
(for applications running on IA-32)
9. Intel C++ Compiler XE version 12.0 for Linux*
(for applications running on Intel 64)
10. Intel Fortran Compiler XE version 12.0 for Linux*
(for applications running on IA-32)
11. Intel Fortran Compiler XE version 12.0 for Linux*
(for applications running on Intel 64)
12. Intel Debugger version 12.0 for Linux*
(for applications running on IA-32)
13. Intel Debugger version 12.0 for Linux*
(for applications running on Intel 64)
Intel Cluster Studio Common Files (required)

You will notice that some are missing, such as Inspector.

When I complete the installation, I have:
inspxe-inject inspxe-runsc inspxe-wrap
but not inspxe-gui, for example.

Alan,

What is the name of the kit you downloaded and its size in bytes? Was anything else missing besides inspxe-gui?

The individual components should all be listed in the Registration Center. We will look into this issue as well.

Annalee

The email with the download link says the product is:
Intel Software Development Products for Linux*, Education
The name of the file is
l_ics_2011.0.013.tgz
The filesize is 868221782 bytes.

I know that the compilers, MPI library, and debugger were installed. I'm not sure what else I have. I don't see anything about VTune. Here is the contents of /opt/intel/bin:
codecov
compilervars.csh
compilervars.sh
fpp
icc
iccvars.csh
iccvars.sh
icpc
idb
idbc
ifort
ifortvars.csh
ifortvars.sh
inspxe-inject
inspxe-runsc
inspxe-wrap
link_install.sh
map_opts
profdcg
profmerge
proforder
tselect
xiar
xild

Thanks

Alan,

To address your question about why some of the individual components were not listed as available for download when you registered your license, you will need to log into theregistration centerin order to download these components. Apparently, some components are only shown when you are logged into the registration center and not when you are registering the product.
