Testing local and push notifications on emulator/App preview

Hello,

I would like to know if it were possible to test intel xdk apps with local and push notifications on the App Preview.I really want to test the local and push notifications without exporting the project as an app. I am working on a project requiring both notifications and I cannot test those functionalities with the emulator. Please help.
