Thanks Gina and Lexi for your replys. I appreciate the link to the IDE controller programmer's reference manual but I was hoping for a UHCI programmer's reference manual for the USB UHCI controller in the ICH4 or ICH4M southbridge.
The problem I am trying to solve on my Celeron-M CPU board (Ampro RB800) is the transfer of control from the BIOS to the OS for the UHCI controller. Specifically when "USB Legacy Support" is enabled in the CMOS setup and a USB Keyboard is connected at boot time. My system currently locks up when the UHCI controller is initialized.
For the EHCI controller, there is a specificprotocol specified in the EHCI programmer's reference manual for the ICH4. This allows a smooth transition from the BIOS's control of the EHCI controller to the OS's control of the EHCI controller. I am looking for similar information for the UHCI controller.
Thank you for any helpful ideas or documentation you can provide.

Hi Ed,
If you're unable to find this documentation on the Intel Hardware Design site, we'd recommend contacting their support team for assistance -- they should be able to determine whether the documentation is publicly available or requires signing an NDA with an Intel rep.
