Using the X3100 as multipurpose processor

I was wondering if it is possible to use the X3100 in the GM965 chipset while using discrete graphics.

The X3100 should not be used for graphics instead for DSP and multimedia applications by adding a new instruction set.

Our engineering contacts responded: No, the integrated part currently gets turned off when the discrete graphics card is populated on the bus. It is designed that way.
