Good morning,
I've been trying to clean up some legacy Fortran (66 and 77) code in our primary application.
I currently have a license to Intel® Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition for Fortran Windows. I have Intel Fortran Composer XE 2013 SP1 installed and hooked into Visual Studio 2013. I'm able to generate static code analysis files and view them through a text editor (they appear to be mostly XML files behind the scenes). This works, but is a pain.
I'm wondering what product I need to get to view the results graphically. The PDF describing how to use static analysis says that, for Windows, the GUI should pop up automatically once static analysis is complete. This doesn't work for me so I am assuming I need an additional product.
Do I need to purchase Intel Inspector XE? Or can I upgrade to Parallel Studio XE Professional Edition and get the Inspector GUI? Or should I already have it available, but my install might be messed up?
Thank you for your assistance in helping me sort out this matter. I probably will not be able to buy any new products until March, but I figured I would get the ball rolling on it now.

As you've not drawn a timely response, I'll take a swing while we wait for someone to compose something to represent Intel position. The static analysis results were intended to be displayed by inspector but I hadn't full success with it. If the static analysis has been withdrawn from the current product it seems difficult to recommend inspector for this purpose.

Hi Kennedy,
As Tim rightly pointed out, We have to use Intel(R) Inspector XE for viewing these static analysis results in GUI. However we have deprecated this option from 2015 version and may be removed in future. So if you want to buy Intel(R) Parallel Studio XE only for viewing the results, I wouldn't recommend going for it, But if you want to also use the profiler Intel(R) VTune Amplifier and other tools, then you may buy the Intel(R) Parallel Studio XE Professional edition.
However if you feel that static analysis has to be retained, then please leave your comments here :- https://softwareproductsurvey.intel.com/f/150391/1892
