XDK is bugging

Hello,

This monday I started using the Intel XDK and ever since I had a series of bugs that made it almost impossible to work with it.

I have no idea what is causing it, but I would like to know if there is a way to either avoid these bugs or fix them.

1. Sometimes when I create projects its impossible to use headers on more then the first page since the headers I try to apply to other pages get moved to the first instead.

2. Some of the pages I create are bugged and can neither be deleted nor changed properly.

3. In many projects some of the pages simply wont accept any changes made to them. Whenever I try to insert an object the page gets de-selected and this problem applies to all the other pages I create afterwards. The only thing I am able to insert is a header which can only be given a title and whenever I try to add a back button it simply does not appear. When I reselect the element the option is unchecked again.

How have you created your app? Are you using App Designer?

I have used the App Designer on a HTML5 + Cordova project.

I will log these issues and pass these on to the App Designer team. I don't believe there is any workarounds for the issues described.

Hi Alexander,

The header and back button problem is a known bug in app designer and we are working on resolving it at the earliest. Please refer to this post: https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/topic/542486

Which version of Intel XDK are you using? Did you update to the latest version when prompted? If you upgraded to the latest version via the IDE, could you please uninstall it and reinstall using the instructions here (https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/topic/542074)?

Hello Alexander,

The updated version-1826 has fixed an issue App Designer where if you created a framework document with two pages and a header or footer was dragged on to the second page it was incorrectly inserted into the first main page.

My recommendation is when the page is not accepting changes try that multiple times dragging and dropping sometimes it works.
