Xeon Phi Driver weirdness?

I'm getting an unusual error in device manager (see attached screenshot) in Windows 10 Creators Update.  I installed the MPSS 4 drivers, and as noted, the card is detected in device manager.

The device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers for this device (Error 31)  Object name not found.

Looking into the event log, I saw an entry for 'CreateMicDevice' failed.

Any ideas on this?
