beginners question: ionic2 and recording sound and mixing these?

Hello all,

intel xdk seems great for me, and since i'm a newbee at it i'd like to know if it is possible to create a project with intel xdk with the framework ionic 2, and in the app (for ios and android) record a short self-spoken audio, and then play it with a background sound together simultaniously.

is this possible?
