intel XDK 1878 doesn't support back end API calls

Hello intel XDK users,

This is to inform you that the latest version of intel XDK is the worst version since intel took over from appmobi.

I have tried three different API methods and none of them worked on my Android device (Apk build) even though the problem didn't occur when I  used the emulator.

XHR, Ajax($.ajax) and "intel.xdk.device.getRemoteDataWithID" all failed.

Secondly, wifi test on the AppPreview app has stopped working.

Intel, please do the needful.

Thanks.

I have uninstalled XDK 1878 and the API calls are now working on version 1826.

Until a new version is released, it's better to use XDK 1826.

Hi Michael,

As I've posted on other threads there is issue with templates not including * in the domain list, so when you create a project from scratch using templates, you would have to go to Projects page and under Build settings you have to put a * in the Domain List box for whichever platform you are building. This will be fixed in the next hot fix release.

Hope this solves your issue. If not, please touch base with us.

thanks,

Swati
