lmgrd.intel.exe not working on Windows 7

Hello

I have 2 floating licenses of Intel® C++ Composer XE for Linux* (formerly Intel® C++ Compiler Professional Edition for Linux*) version 2011

The Flexlm daemon lmgrd.intel.exe worked well when the Flexlm license server was on Microsoft Windows XP.

But since I had to migrate it to Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 32 bits, I can't get it working.

The dameon lmgrd.intel.exe claims that there are         MULTIPLE "INTEL" license server systems running, whereby a "lmutil lmstat ..." before that states that lmgrd is not running (Log file provided for more details if needed)

Is this a known issue of lmgrd.intel.exe on Win 7 ? Is there a workaround ?

Thanks for any help

Hi Wilfird,

As the error says, there are 2 lmgrds running. Depending on how you started the Intel(R) Software License Manager (as service or user app) you need to check on the Task Manager wheather there are more lmgrd tools (under Details) or Intel(R) Software License Manager (under Services) running. You may shut down them all and restart one via Start menu > Intel(R) Software Development Products > Configure Intel(R) Software License Manager.

Did you also modify the host info in the licese file for the new server? Is the the host id included in the license file identical with one of the physical addresses of your new server?

Regards, Hubert.
